🎵 A Father's Poem

Rareeram

Three lines remembered across decades.
A love that never forgets.

The Original — As Remembered

Little one, the night is soft

The stars are watching from above

No storm can reach you where you rest

Wrapped in warmth, wrapped in love

~ ~ ~

Small hands, small breath, small dreams

The world can wait till morning light

For now there is just this

A father, a child, a quiet night

~ ~ ~

Little hands that hold so tight

Little eyes that trust and close

How a man becomes complete

Only a father really knows

~ ~ ~

Years will pass and you will grow

Taller than my arms can hold

But this night stays inside me

A memory worth more than gold

These three lines came back from somewhere deep in memory — a father humming to two small boys in the UAE nights, Fujairah first, then the Western Region of Abu Dhabi. Holding them close enough to hear his heartbeat. The rest of the song may still be waiting. But these lines were always enough.
