They came for shade, not to sow,
Praised the bloom, then watched it go.
Watered words when fruit was sweet,
Vanished fast when faced the heat.
Borrowed sunlight, stole the rain,
Left the roots to take the pain.
Called it "love" till harvest came,
Then the soil forgot their name.
But gardens know who tends, who takes,
Who stays for storms, not just for stakes.
Weeds of use get pulled by truth โ
Real ones grow back, root to roof.
So if you're here just for the rose,
Don't act shocked when nothing grows.
Loyalty isn't seasonal, friend โ
Don't plant yourself just to pretend.
